Hi friends! I recently organized my makeup collection (I’m 155% OCD) and narrowed down my beauty products to the top five I’m currently loving and using pretty much anytime I’m wearing a full coverage, “full face” makeup. When I say I’ve tried many products, I’ve tried many products. I’d love to do a more extensive post breaking down all of my beauty routine/favorites/tips and tricks if that’s something you’d be interested in 🙂 For now, these are my top five everyday holy grail makeup products.
Let’s start with foundation: this stuff is no joke. Like wore it on my wedding day bomb. Oily skin? You’ve met your match. Blemishes? No worries. This stuff truly lives up to the hype and has such a wide selection of colors for every skin tone. Personally I apply this foundation with a damp beauty blender as it is a little on the thicker side (for fuller coverage) – the sponge helps to distribute the product more evenly in a lighter layer.
24hr wear – oil free – transfer resistant and water proof. What more could a girl ask for?
I’m not sure I’ve met anybody that dislikes this concealer. It will literally cover anything and is perfect for dark under eye circles. It’s a bit thick (which it probably has to be to cover like it does) so I recommend setting it with powder and applying it was a dampened beauty blender as well. I am in shade 12N fair neutral because I like the lighter, brighter under eye effect it gives. I would recommend using a shade closer to your foundation color if you’re applying to any blemishes. A lighter shade will just highlight the area.
After you set this concealer with a powder it will literally stay put all day.
3. Nars Blush
This blush is such a pretty shade of light, peachy pink with slight shimmer. I feel like I try new blushes but always find myself going back to this one. The color is universal and would be pretty on any skin tone. The texture of these blushes is soft and creamy making application really easy. I like a lot of blush and feel like it’s hard to “overdue” this one. I wear daily from work to the weekend and going out. It’s especially pretty with a tan!
I’m not sure how this seems to work with all complexions without looking muddy or dark but it surely does. I use this to contour my cheek bones, forehead and nose! Such a perfect, matte color. I have used this shade in my palest of Winter and even tan during the Summer. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a matte contour shade without shimmer or orange tones.
I can’t get enough of this lip liner. I’m pretty sure it’s $2 and one of my best finds. I have a few shades but color “natural” is my go to. I use this to line my lips with basically every lipstick, gloss or stain I apply but it’s also gorgeous on it’s own. These liners are not too drying and not too creamy so applying them is easy!
I hope this was helpful and gave you some insight if you’re in the market for any new products. As always thank you for reading!
